Aaron Vance of Mount Gilead will perform with the Muskingum University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers when the group begins its annual spring tour on February 24.
The spring tour will take the choirs to a variety of venues in three states. The concert will feature sacred and secular selections, including works by Tallis, Byrd, Britten and Whitacre; folk music from Kenya, Mexico, South Africa and the United States, plus love songs and Broadway ballads. The conductor is Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Zebulon M. Highben.
The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are the premier choral ensembles at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, a four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The groups' recent national and international tours have taken the groups to New York City, Philadelphia, Nashville, Salzburg, Vienna and Lucerne.
