Phillip Ellis of Copley part of Muskingum University honor society giving back to the community

2013 Nov 22

Phillip Ellis of Copley is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa chapter at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, that recently completed a community service project to raise money for the New Concord Food Pantry.

Phillip helped rake leaves and do other household chores in exchange for a contribution. Nearly a dozen homes received the help and the chapter donated $603 to the pantry.

Omicron Delta Kappa is the national leadership honor society founded on the idea that leadership of exceptional quality and versatility in college should be recognized, that representatives in all phases of college life should cooperate in worthwhile endeavors and that outstanding students, faculty and administration members should meet on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.

Muskingum University senior Megan Duke is the chapter president and the faculty advisor is Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Shelley Amstutz-Szalay.
